The climate is warm year round with no winter frosts, and cool sea breezes keep the temperature mild in the summer. During the warm summer months the area is a great escape for Sydney siders after quieter beaches than Sydney can offer. In spring time the whole area comes alive with native wildflowers, while Port Stephens Weather is still pleasantly warm. From late May through July the area is a excellent place to watch the thousands of migrating whales pass by
